A learnership is a vocational education and training programme, which facilitates the linkage between structured learning and work experience in order to obtain a registered qualification. It combines theory and workplace practice into a qualification that is registered on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). Jul 30, 2004. This is a work-based route to a qualification. It is a workplace education and training programme comprising of both structured practical workplace (on-the-job) experience and structured theoretical training.
